Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's White Oak Medical Center Rehab Unit seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a mission-driven team focused on physical, mental and spiritual healing. The position offers day shifts with full-time hours, a 36-hour week, and a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care and seek guidance from senior nurses.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses and use electronic resources for best practices.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards while upholding Adventist HealthCare values.
• Use equipment correctly, delegate non-nursing duties, and maximize efficiency.
• Develop care plans according to patient population.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Perform literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in practice changes based on evidence.

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Rehabilitation Unit who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will:

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care while also striving to advance their own knowledge and skills through careful consideration of feedback and guidance provided by more senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager.
