Job summary

Adelante Development Center, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in New Mexico. This role focuses on coordinating care for individuals with developmental disabilities, offering a better work-life balance than hospital settings.

Expect 75% desk work and 25% face-to-face assessments, with a Monday-Friday schedule and rotating on-call weekends. A $1,250 hiring bonus applies after 90 days. Pay is $35.00 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• RN certification/licensure in NM is required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Experience with disabled individuals, including those with severe/profound disabilities, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate health care services for individuals on the DD Waiver per DDSD Standards.
• Train staff on health care protocols and practices.
• Write and update individualized health care plans.
• Conduct nursing visits and attend doctor appointments.
• Participate in IDT and ISP meetings for client care coordination.
• Maintain medication administration and treatment records.
• Oversee LPNs and support the nursing team as an RN.

Requirements

• RN certification as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of New Mexico required.
• Must maintain CPR, First Aid, and other trainings/certifications as required.
• One year experience working with disabled individuals, including those with severe/profound disabilities, strongly preferred.

Other Requirements:

Must pass TB test and background check. Must have own reliable transportation, valid NM driver’s license, insurable driving record and proof of current liability insurance. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, carry, and perform keyboarding/typing tasks frequently. Must be able to squat, reach above shoulder(s), kneel, balance, push, pull and lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
