Job summary

Millwood Hospital in Arlington, TX, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Staff Nurse (RN) to coordinate and evaluate patient care within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• CPR certification and CPI training before working with patients.
• Experience: Minimum of three (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.

• Attends required hospital and departmental orientations.

Millwood’s caring, and multidisciplinary staff has successfully provided inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency care to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults since 1971. Millwood Hospital is located in Arlington, TX in the heart of the city. It is 5 minutes away from AT&T Stadium home of the Dallas Cowboys. The hospital is less than 35 minutes from DFW International Airport. The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.

Must be available to attend the Full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: Monday -Friday (8 AM - 5 PM); Week 2: Monday – Wednesday (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM)

Typical Work Hours:

Day Shift (PICU, ADULT/GERO, OR KIDS)

Rotating Weeks - 12 hour shifts

6:45 am - 7:15 pm

Weekends Required (days vary)

Requirements

Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint before working with patients. Successful completion of CPI training and Service Excellence Training before working with patients. Certifications may be obtained during new hire orientation.
