Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital CVICU is a fast-paced 18-bed unit providing care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery and transplantation. RNs joining this team will work in a highly collaborative environment, receiving direct patients from the operating room and managing their intensive care needs with expert multidisciplinary support.

Applicants must hold an Active Maryland RN license, have BLS CPR certification, and possess RN work experience.

Job Details:

The Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CVSICU) is a 18 bed unit that provides care for patients who are recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, the placement of ventricular assist devices, and other complex procedures. Registered Nurses (RNs) receive patients directly from the operating room and manage their needs through their intensive care phase. It is a very fast paced unit driven through team work and collaboration within a highly competent multidisciplinary team to provide the best care possible to this specialized patient population. Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Nursing required
• Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered, provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 4 years of hire

• BLS CPR certification required
• RN work experience required

Salary Range: Minimum 39.64/hour - Maximum 61.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
