Job summary

Advocate Health’s CVICU 7T at Aurora St. Luke’s in Wisconsin seeks a skilled registered nurse to deliver high‑quality cardiac care in a 30‑bed ICU. You’ll work weekends in a 36‑hour week schedule with 50% holiday coverage, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds and education.

As a trusted team member, you’ll apply evidence‑based nursing, coordinate patient care, and support family engagement while maintaining safety and compassionate care in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse license in the practicing state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Where You Will Work

CVICU 7T is a 30 bed ICU caring for patients post open heart surgery, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, aortic interventions (surgical and endovascular), vascular procedures and end stage heart failure treatment (clinical work-up, left ventricular assist device implantation and heart transplantation). This is a high acuity fast-paced environment that offers many experiences and educational opportunities to nurses

We’re Looking For
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
What You’ll Do
  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
