The supervisor promotes a safe environment for patients, staff, families, and visitors while maintaining clinical competency tailored to the patient population. They demonstrate flexibility in handling emergencies, staffing changes, and crisis situations, delegating tasks effectively. The role involves setting priorities, preparing assignments, and supporting staff development through ongoing assessments and education. Additionally, they monitor and improve patient care quality via unit-based quality programs and PI initiatives, perform routine duties such as chart checks, supply management, and documentation, and perform related tasks as needed.
