Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a skilled registered nurse to join the CVICU 7T at Aurora St. Luke's. You will provide comprehensive patient care, coordinate as part of a high-acuity cardiac unit, and apply the nursing process to ensure safe, evidence-based care for post-operative patients.

The unit is a 30-bed ICU caring for post open heart surgery, TAVR, vascular interventions and transplant care, offering strong educational opportunities and a fast-paced environment for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license in the practicing state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and compassionate communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Where You Will Work

CVICU 7T is a 30 bed ICU caring for patients post open heart surgery, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, aortic interventions (surgical and endovascular), vascular procedures and end stage heart failure treatment (clinical work-up, left ventricular assist device implantation and heart transplantation).

This is a high acuity fast-paced environment that offers many experiences and educational opportunities to nurses.

We're Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
