Job summary

Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Clinical Resource Unit. This full-time role requires completion of an accredited nursing program and an active RN license in the state.

BLS certification is required. The RN will deliver comprehensive patient care, coordinate the nursing process, and support a safe, therapeutic environment across units including observation, med/tele, critical care stepdown, and behavioral health.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in line with standards, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with the care team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical Resource Unit Downers Grove, IL

Where You Will Work:

• Level 1 trauma center
• Internal Float Pool that floats throughout Good Samaritan Hospital including:
• -observation unit (4-5 ratio)
• -5 med/tele units (4-5 ratio)
• -Critical care stepdown (3-4 ratio)
• -Behavioral health unit

We're Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

What You'll Do:

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
