Job summary

The Staff Pad, partnering with a leading healthcare system in Wisconsin, seeks Registered Nurses for high-acuity ICU/Step-Down units in Wausau. You’ll care for complex patients including cardiothoracic, post-surgical, and telemetry cases, in a structured, team-driven environment.

Roles include full-time, part-time, and supplemental schedules with opportunities for growth, leadership pathways, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• RN license in WI or compact, plus Trauma Nursing Core Course.
• BLS required (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
• ACLS, PALS or NRP preferred depending on department.
• Open to new grads and experienced nurses.
• 3+ years RN experience in a comparable setting for experienced nurses.

• Provide care for patients requiring higher acuity monitoring (drips, chest tubes, central lines).
• Collaborate with a strong interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting.
• Manage frequent admissions, discharges, and transfers.

What You’ll Do:

What We’re Looking For:

• Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  
• Certification in specialty preferred
  
• RN license (WI or compact eligible & Trauma nursing core course
  
• BLS required (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
  
• ACLS, PALS or NRP preferred based on primary department
  
• Open tonew grads and experienced nurses
  
• 3+ years practicing as an RN in a comparative setting for experienced nurses
  
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
