Job summary

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse for its ICU teams in the Verstandig Pavilion on Georgetown's campus. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care for patients from routine to highly complex cases, with opportunities across Surgical Transplant ICU, Neuro ICU, and Med Surg ICU.

The position requires an active DC RN license and BLS, with ADN/BSN/MSN/CNL credentials as appropriate.

Qualifications

• ADN/BSN/MSN or CNL required.
• Active DC RN License and BLS required.
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families with varying acuity.
• Identify and analyze patient status trends and plan appropriate interventions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.
