Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking an RN CPOE Educator to support onboarding providers to EMR Expanse and related apps. You will collaborate on education plans, respond to staff questions, and help with Expanse training and reporting to improve patient safety.

As part of the Clinical Informatics team, you will stay current with EMR updates, coordinate with departments, and provide ongoing education across hospital units to ensure effective use of the system.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN (Registered Nurse) required.
• Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree required.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Manager and Director of Clinical Informatics to plan, implement, and evaluate ongoing education for hospital providers and staff.
• Assist with informatics educational activities for all hospital departments based on identified learning needs.
• Stay current on Meditech Expanse and other systems.
• Communicate with providers and staff about current and upcoming application changes.
• Provide in-services for Expanse within the hospital for new providers.
• Research issues and work toward resolution.
• Run reports and collaborate with staff to enhance patient safety.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The RN CPOE will collaborate with Physician Service Specialist to onboard providers to Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Expanse, Imobile and other apps that are used. The RN CPOE will assist providers and staff that have questions with the EMR, run reports on documentation and assist, as needed. Collaborates with facility Departments and rounds on the Units to assist with additional EMR (Expanse) training of staff.
