Job summary

Christ Health Center in Alabama is seeking a Primary Care Clinic Registered Nurse to join our team. The role involves providing nursing care for patients with primary care conditions and reporting to the Nursing Director.

Responsibilities include medications, procedures, and coordination of care in a clinic setting. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited RN program with a current RN license; CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for registered nurses.
• Current RN license.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in the primary care setting preferred.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Administer medications, assist with procedures, document histories, and authorizations.
• Procure and store clinical supplies, meds, and vaccines.
• Use Telephone Triage Protocols for Nurses; refer to provider when needed.
• Respect cultural needs and maintain constructive community relationships.
• Support community relations and CHC image; participate in in-service education.
• Attend staff education, QA, and risk management activities.
• Contribute to daily huddles and be part of the patient care team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Christ Health Center has an excellent opportunity for a Primary Care Clinic Registered Nurse to join our team.

This position operates out of our medical clinic(s) and will provide nursing care for patients with primary care medical conditions. Reporting directly to the Nursing Director for all matters, including job duties, performance evaluations, approval of leave, and for other assignments as deemed necessary for the benefit of Christ Health Center.

Major Duties & Responsibilities: Job Skills

• Assists in planning, implementation, and evaluation of overall nursing care to our patients.


• Administer medications, assists with procedures, complete patient history and disability forms, DME requests and prior authorizations.


• Assists with procurement and storage of clinical supplies, medications, and vaccines.


• Uses Telephone Triage Protocols for Nurses as a guide for clinical advice and defers to the provider when answers are unclear.


• Assists with recognizing the needs and concerns of people within their cultural framework, and maintains constructive relationships in dealing with them.


• Understands CHC’s relationship with the community and maintains a positive image and relationships.


• Attends and participates in in-service education for staff, quality assurance program, and risk-management programs.


• Each employee of Christ Health Center is vital to providing overall quality care to our patients and may be included in the patient care team and daily huddle when deemed necessary by the Core Care Team.


• Performs other duties as assigned.
