Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a registered nurse to provide, promote, and maintain quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures, with nights and weekend call.

Requires Associate's degree in Nursing, 1 year experience in critical care or cath lab, and active multi-state RN license; BLS within 7 days; ACLS within orientation; CCRN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in critical care or cath lab.
• Active multi-state RN license required; if you hold a license from another compact state, you must obtain the state license of residence within 30 days.
• BLS CPR certification required within 7 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within orientation period.
• CCRN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and document findings throughout care.
• Verify orders, reconcile medications, and arrange tests as needed.
• Administer medications, monitor for adverse reactions, and ensure patient safety.
• Interpret diagnostic data and notify physician of critical values.
• Perform related duties as required.

Job description

Up to $20,000 Sign-on Bonus Based on Eligibility

Provide, promote and maintain quality patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures through education, standards of practice, professional growth, and collaboration with other multidisciplinary health care providers. Nights and Weekend Call is required.

Assesses patient as ongoing process utilizing physician and psychosocial input and documents in the chart.

Performs patient interventions completely and proficiently and demonstrates age specific competency for population of patients served.

Verifies, during hospitalization, orders for accuracy (including reconciliation of medications), appropriate scheduling of tests and/or procedures, pre-op data, and consent forms.

Follows medication and IV Therapy policies including patient identification, understanding about medications, administering meds and recognizing/reporting interactions 100% of the time. Appropriately monitors first dose medication(s) for adverse reactions.

Interprets diagnostic data and takes appropriate action when indicated (i.e. notification of critical lab values to physician per hospital protocol).

Performs related duties as required.

Required

• Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Experience: One year experience as RN required in either critical care or catheterization laboratory.
• Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: A valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside is required. Should you hold a RN license from another Compact state, you are required to apply for and obtain a Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside within 30 days.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
• American Heart Association ACLS is required within orientation period
