Job summary

North Vista Hospital in North Las Vegas, NV, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks an experienced RN for its Cardiovascular Laboratory. You will provide direct care to adults and geriatrics, monitor hemodynamic data, and coordinate with physicians to support high-quality cardiovascular procedures.

BSN preferred with an active RN license, BCLS and ACLS on hire. One year in CV lab or critical care is required, with full-time daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Active state RN License required.
• Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate required upon hire.
• One year of Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in the CV lab.
• Communicates with physicians about patient condition.
• Maintains equipment and inventory for procedures.
• Ensures workflow readiness of procedure rooms and equipment.
• Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Participates in quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met. Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Monitors and records patients condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
• Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
• Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
• One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
