Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab. This full-time position requires 4-10 hour shifts, on-call availability with 30-minute arrival time, and may include travel to other Advocate sites for orientation.

The Cath Lab team performs minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures; the RN provides peri-procedural care from prep to recovery and collaborates with physicians and the cardiovascular team to ensure safety and high-quality

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Illinois RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) and ACLS.
• Minimum of one year Cath Lab RN experience.
• Ability to take call and arrive within 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process during procedures.
• Use evidence-based practice and effective communication to maintain a safe patient environment and optimal care.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab

Chicago, IL (Lakeview Neighborhood)

Full time; 4-10 hour shifts

Call required; must be able to meet 30 minute arrival time to hospital

May be required to travel to other Advocate sites for orientation purposes

Where You Will Work:

The unit has three Cath Labs where physicians perform minimally invasive tests and procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease. As a nurse in this department you will assist the cardiovascular team throughout the procedure from prep through recovery.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS
• Minimum of one year of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Ability to take call and arrive to the hospital within 30 minutes

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
