Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking an experienced RN for the Cardiac Telemetry Unit at High Point Medical Center. The role focuses on monitoring cardiac rhythms and delivering safe, therapeutic nursing care in a 18-bed unit with a cardiac focus.

This full-time position requires an accredited nursing program completion, valid RN license in NC, and BLS certification, with a shift schedule of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week from 7am to 7pm, including every third weekend.

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Where You Will Work

The Cardiac Telemetry Unit at High Point Medical Center is an 18 bed intermediate care unit that provides care to patients with a cardiac focus. This unit is responsible for monitoring patient cardiac rhythms, and is comprised of cardiac population patients including heart failure, post pacemaker insertion, post cardiac catheterization with intervention, post ablation, BiPAP, occasional tracheostomy, post-op carotid endarterectomy, and post-op CABG along with intermediate patients that are transferred out of the Medical and Cardiac ICUs.

We’re Looking For
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Greater than 1 year of RN experience (RNs with less than 1 year of RN experience, please apply to openings with “New Graduate RN” in the posting title.)

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
