Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care at the competent level using the nursing process. You will deliver safe, effective care and collaborate with the health care team to achieve desired results.

Minimum requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Nursing with SC licensure or a compact state, BLS, and ACLS in most hospital areas; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• RN must hold valid licensure by SC Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current BLS required; ACLS also required for most hospital areas.

Minimum Training and Education

Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations

Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) also required for most nursing areas within the hospital.
