Navicent Health Medical Center – Nursing: Medical/Surgical IU 6 Heart is seeking a full-time RN to join a fast-paced 30-bed cardiac and medical-surgical unit in Macon, GA. The team supports pre- and post-operative cardiac care, collaborates with surgeons, therapists, and multidisciplinary staff to deliver patient-centered care, pain management, mobility, and safe recovery.

Qualified candidates will have RN licensure in Georgia, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and cardiac/critical care experience

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program and RN license in the practicing state.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
  • Cardiac/critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.

Department: 34410 Navicent Health Medical Center - Nursing: Medical/Surgical IU 6 Heart Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 3-12 hour shifts per week Days - 7a-7p Rotating Weekend and Holidays Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 Where You Will Work: Are you on the lookout for a fast-paced and rewarding nursing environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Our 30-bed unit specializes in the care of pre- and post-operative cardiac patients. We deal with patients undergoing various procedures such as heart catheterization, pacemaker insertion, TAVR, cardioversion, and ablations. It's important to note that we don't perform these procedures ourselves but rather provide comprehensive care before and after them. In addition to our focus on cardiac care, we also provide care for a diverse mix of medical-surgical and orthopedic patients. This makes our unit an enriching environment for nurses eager to broaden their skill set. Our team is wholeheartedly dedicated to collaborative, patient-centered care, working closely with surgeons, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams. We place a strong emphasis on pain management, mobility, and post-surgical recovery, making our unit a unique place for professional growth. Required Qualifications

We’re Looking For: Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices BLS for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association required/expected within 6 months of hire date. Cardiac/critical care experience preferred

What You’ll Do: As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

About This Location: Atrium Health Navicent- The Medical Center is a nationally recognized academic medical center, nationally-verified Level 1 Trauma Center, Magnet ® hospital for nursing, and serves a service area of 30 counties and a population of nearly 750,000 persons.
