Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical unit to provide patient-centered care and assist with discharge planning. You will assess pain, skin integrity, mobility, and cognitive status, and document findings accurately in the patient record.

Responsibilities include coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safety, and delivering compassionate support while adhering to hospital standards and policies. CA RN licensure and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year medical/surgical experience required.
• Current BLS & ACLS certification (AHA).
• California RN license in good standing required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care on the Medical-Surgical unit with attention to pain, skin integrity, falls risk, and mobility.
• Initiate discharge planning and ensure accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

The Registered Nurse on Med Surg Tele is responsible for providing care that is respectful and responsive to the patient’s values in clinical decision making. Performs completely and accurately including, but no limited to, physical (i.e. assessment for pain, skin breakdown, risk for falls), psychological (i.e. cognitive and communicative skills or development), social status and other patient needs. Identifies and prioritizes the need for further assessment based on the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis, care setting, desire for care and responses to any previous care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for initiating discharge planning for each patient upon admission as appropriate as well as accurately documenting and keeping record.
