Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). The RN delivers care to critically ill patients, conducts assessments, develops care plans, and administers complex medications and invasive monitoring.
This full-time evening shift (11:00 am–11:00 pm) includes rotating weekends and holidays, with specialty pay available for experienced nurses; the unit features a Level 1 Trauma Center and a growing ECMO program.
At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) delivers patient care to individuals in critical condition.
Assume responsibility for Critical Care Patients, conducting assessments, devising care plans, and adjusting critical drips to ensure hemodynamic stability and appropriate sedation levels.
Attend to patients requiring advanced monitoring, heightened observation, utilization of invasive equipment, and administration of intricate medication regimens.
Operate within an acclaimed 22-bed Level 1 Trauma Facility unit, contributing to a burgeoning ECMO Program.
Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required
Valid RN license in Connecticut
Candidates with a minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience will be considered for training
Candidates with a minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience will be considered for training
BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
ACLS certification, support available for certification post-hire.
Full-Time: 36 hrs/week – Evening Shift. 11:00 am to 11:00 pm
Rotating weekends and holidays
Specialty pay available for experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience
Hourly position, included in RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95.
