Job summary

Seton Medical Center Harker Heights in Harker Heights, TX is seeking a day shift, PRN Cardiac Catheterization Lab RN to join our team. You will provide direct and indirect patient care in the cath lab, coordinating with physicians and the nursing staff.

The role requires Texas RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, and a commitment to completing a BSN within four years of hire. Prior critical care experience is preferred, and state licensure may be recognized through multi-state options.

Qualifications

• Texas RN licensure required.
• 1 year minimum ICU/critical care experience; cardiac/ cath lab preferred.
• BSN degree to be completed within 4 years of hire.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care in the Cath Lab.
• Develop individualized nursing care plans in coordination with patient and interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.

• Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more.

Responsibilities

The nurse is responsible for the planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care, developing nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family, and interdisciplinary staff as necessary and communicating changes in patient's clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Completion of education to obtain Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Registered Nurse (RN) with Texas Board of Nursing - OR - current home state license is required for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience required; critical care experience preferred
• Required to complete the education necessary to obtain my BSN degree within four (4) years of my date of hire with Seton Medical Center Harker Heights
• BLS certification must be obtained with 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support through American Heart Association within 6 months
