Seton Medical Center Harker Heights in Texas is seeking a day shift, PRN Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. You will plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care, coordinating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires Texas RN licensure, 1 year of nursing experience (critical care preferred), and certification in BLS and ACLS within set timeframes. BSN progression is encouraged within 4 years of hire.

Qualifications

• Texas RN licensure is required.
• Current home state license accepted via Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; critical care preferred.
• Must commit to obtaining a BSN within 4 years of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care in the Cath Lab.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans with patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and nursing supervisor/manager.

• Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more.

Responsibilities

The nurse is responsible for the planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care, developing nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family , and interdisciplinary staff as necessary and communicating changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Completion of education to obtain Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Registered Nurse (RN) with Texas Board of Nursing – OR – current home state license is required for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience required; critical care experience preferred
• Required to complete the education necessary to obtain my BSN degree within four (4) years of my date of hire with Seton Medical Center Harker Heights
• BLS certification must be obtained with 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support through American Heart Association within 6 months

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Previous employment in a cardiovascular setting.
