Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse for a fast-paced CVICU/Cath Lab environment in Baltimore, MD. The role emphasizes skilled, compassionate care across a spectrum of needs from routine to highly complex.

You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify health concerns, and coordinate care plans with the multidisciplinary nursing team. Requires MD RN license or Compact state licensure and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Prior Cath Lab or CVICU Nursing experience required.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care across routine to highly complex cases.
• Assess evolving patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans; coordinate with the nursing team.

• Cutting edge cardiac procedures including cardiac interventions via trans-radial approach and IMPELLA.
• Large structural heart program including TAVR, Watchman, PFO closure/ASD repair, Valvuloplasty, and Mitra clip procedures.
• High focus on research and new procedures.
• Collaborative teamwork with multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Cath Lab or CVICU Clinical Nursing Experience required.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

This position has a hiring range of

USD $36.50 - USD $60.34 /Hr.
