ChristianaCare Health System in Wilmington, DE, seeks a Registered Nurse for the 3W Cardiac Care Unit on FT night shift (7p–7a), weekends and holidays per department guidelines. The 3W unit supports short-stay cardiac patients and offers cross-training to 1W and 3MOU with broader clinical exposure.

Qualified candidates hold a DE or Compact RN license, with BSN preferred and a commitment to obtain it within 3 years. At least two years of RN experience and BLS are required.

Registered Nurse (RN) 3W Cardiac Care Unit FT Night Shift (Hours: 7p-7a) Weekends & Holidays per the department guidelines

Wilmington Hospital 3 West is a 9-bed cardiac care unit at Wilmington Hospital. 3 West focuses on the care of short-stay patients with primary cardiac diagnoses, offering staff a diverse and enriching clinical experience.

Team members on 3W can cross-train on:

• 1W Medical Observation Unit. 1W (10 beds) are newly constructed Medical Observation units that provide care for adult medical patients admitted from the Emergency Department under Observation status. Common diagnoses include (but are not limited to) syncope, chest pain and ruling out stroke – conditions that need work-up beyond what’s provided in the ED but may not require a traditional inpatient hospital stay.
• 3M Medical Observation Unit. 3MOU an 8-bed unit dedicated to the care of adult medical patients admitted under observation status. Common diagnoses include, but are not limited to, ruling out stroke, syncope, and chest pain—conditions that require further evaluation and testing beyond the Emergency Department.

Education & Experience Requirements

DE RN license or Compact RN license. BSN preferred or the commitment to obtaining a BSN within 3 years date of hire. All applicants must have two years of RN experience. Acute care or sub-acute care experience is preferred. BLS required.

Hourly Pay Range: $42.11 - $67.37 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
