Job summary

Atrium Health Behavioral Health Charlotte is seeking a capable RN for a Nursing Float Pool role. This full-time position offers 36 hours per week with 7a-7p shifts, floating between Charlotte and Davidson campuses to support behavioral health services.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing program and an active RN license, with strong behavioral health experience and BLS certification. De-escalation skills and MH certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Behavioral Health RN experience preferred (2 years).
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• Behavioral Health experience with de-escalation skills preferred.
• Psychiatric-mental health or related certification preferred.

This position will float between -BH-Charlotte and BH-Davidson.

Where You Will Work:

Behavioral Health – Charlotte, Unit 1 South is an 18‑bed inpatient adult unit providing acute behavioral health services.

We're Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Minimum one (2) years of Behavioral Health RN experience strongly preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Behavioral Health experience with strong de-escalation skills
• Psychiatric-mental health or (professional nursing) certification preferred

What You’ll Do:

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

About This Location:

Atrium Health Behavioral Health Charlotte, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center, is the only dedicated psychiatric emergency department in the region, and provides treatment across a broad continuum of inpatient and outpatient services. Our center is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Located in Grier Heights/Randolph Rd., within central Charlotte, NC
