Job summary

Beckett Springs is a 96-bed behavioral health hospital in the Dayton, OH area. We provide high-quality compassionate care for those facing mental health and addiction challenges, with 24/7 crisis care and inpatient services.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our behavioral health team. You will assess patients, implement care plans, document medical necessity, and support interdisciplinary care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing required.
• Current Ohio RN license required.
• 1 year experience in psychiatric health care preferred.
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
• De-escalation certification within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to stay calm and exercise sound judgment in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely documentation relating to medical necessity in the record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

Our team is dedicated to serving the community through compassionate behavioral health care, including crisis stabilization, inpatient services, and outpatient treatment for individuals experiencing acute mental health and substance use disorders. Our team of more than 200 dedicated professionals, including RNs, Nursing Supervisors, Therapists, Behavioral Health Technicians, Case Managers, Social Workers, and support staff, works collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient care in a compassionate and welcoming environment.

You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

We are looking for caring, dedicated professionals committed to improving the health and well-being of those we serve.

• Associate’s degree in nursing
• Current Registered Nurse OH license as required by state regulations
• 1-year experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred.
• CPR certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
• De-escalation certification required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations while exercising sound judgment and taking appropriate action.
