The Hospital of Central Connecticut, part of Hartford HealthCare, seeks an OR Nurse Circulator/Scrub in New Britain, CT. You will organize and deliver specialized patient care in the Operating Room, aligned with AORN, ASPAN, and SGNA standards.

Qualifications include CT RN license, BLS; ACLS within 6 months if not held; BSN preferred; 1 year acute care and 2 years surgical experience preferred. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

• 1 year of acute care; two years surgical experience preferred.
• Must communicate effectively and work closely with physicians and staff.

Job Description

The OR Nurse functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room. Organizes and administers individualized, professional patient care to patients within the Operating Room. Provides nursing care in accordance with the objectives, policies, procedures and protocols of the hospital and AORN, ASPAN and SGNA standards. Participates in patient teaching; incorporates the needs and behavior of the patient's specific age/cultural groups in planning and providing care. Participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Valid CT RN License
• BSN preferred
• BLS Certification required, ACLS to be obtained within 6 months if candidate does not already possess certification
• 1 year of acute care, two years surgical experience preferred
• Must be able to communicate effectively, and work closely with all physicians and staff
• Strong organizational skills
