Job summary

Terraces at Summitview - a HumanGood community in Washington State is seeking an RN to lead nursing services on a per‑diem basis. Under limited supervision, you will supervise care partners, coordinate resident care, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a safe, healthy environment for residents, staff and visitors.

You will train team members, document care, respond to emergencies, and participate in move-in/out processes while building meaningful relationships with residents.

Qualifications

• Completion of Accredited Licensed Nursing Program (RN)
• BS Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and related professional experience

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs care partners by providing support, encouragement, and direction as appropriate.
• Assesses residents' needs at move-in and continually evaluates residents' condition, promoting independence while complying with regulations.
• Facilitates nursing care provided to all residents and includes residents in decision making processes.
• Ensures nursing staff perform duties toward resident care and responds to emergencies and alerts.
• Uses the nursing process to identify conditions requiring physician evaluation and treatment.
• Reports significant changes to team members, physician, and designated family members as appropriate.
• Responds to emergencies, carries out physician orders, and documents interventions and outcomes.
• Leads move-in/move-out procedures for residents.
• Provides respectful service to residents, families, and staff; communicates clearly and handles conflicts.
• Participates in Resident and family education; informs administration of concerns.
• Supports disciplinary actions when needed and ensures procedures are followed during emergencies.
• Builds genuine relationships with residents through discussion of history.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION

Under limited supervision, responsible for the nursing needs of residents, while actively incorporating our "Philosophy for Person-Directed Care." Ensures a safe and healthy environment for residents, staff, and visitors to participate in the resident's daily life rhythm. Supervises and coordinates nursing services, trains team members, accountable for the work unit's adherence to established policies and procedures, as well as maintaining medical records. Develops assignments in coordination with the care partners and supervises team members that are accountable for resident care and satisfaction.

Per-Diem- Hourly

Schedule: Per-Diem- As needed

Pay Range: $42.50-$54.37 pr/hr depending on experience

Work Duties

• Supervises and directs care partners by providing support, encouragement, and direction as appropriate;
• Assesses resident's needs at the time of move in and continually evaluates residents' condition. Promotes the highest functional level of independence possible (keeping in compliance with state and federal regulations, and the community's safety procedures);
• Facilitates nursing care provided to all residents and includes residents in decision making processes;
• Assures that nursing staff is carrying out their respective duties toward resident care. This includes monitoring and responding to arial emergency call alerts and other resident and family care needs are met appropriately and in a timely manner;
• Utilizes the nursing process to identify resident conditions that require further evaluation and treatment by a physician;
• Reports significant medical changes to the relevant Team Members, Physician, Assistant Administrator of Resident Services and designated family members as appropriate;
• Responds to emergency situations, carries out physician orders, and documents the event, interventions, and outcomes;
• Proactively participates in the move-in and move-out procedures for each resident;
• Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, family members, guests, and team members; is clear in communication and handles conflicts appropriately;
• Assists in Resident and family education;
• Updates the Assistant Administrator of Resident Services on any administrative concerns, such as family issues and the like.
• Assists in disciplinary actions.
• Takes responsibility to lead the team and ensure that all procedures are followed during emergency situations.
• Builds genuine relationships with residents through discussion and review of their history;

REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Completion of Accredited Licensed Nursing Program (RN)
• BS Degree, preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and related professional experience

Experience/Training

• Minimum of 1 year professional managerial experience in related field preferred
• Clinical observation and assessment skills
• Proficient computer skills necessary to complete documentation, review electronic health records and communicate with team members

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Current RN license
