Job summary

The Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our outpatient clinic.

You will provide skilled nursing care under physician or midlevel supervision, collect patient data, develop and implement a care plan, and collaborate with the health care team to achieve patient outcomes. Responsibilities include patient education, safety, infection control, and ensuring quality care across hours of operation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an ACNE or ACEN accredited program.
• Current Ohio Registered Nurse license.
• CPR/BLS certification and knowledge of triage procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and families.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider, and provides a variety of related services to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Collect patient health data, analyze the data to determine diagnoses, identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient,
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain the expected outcomes,
• Implement the interventions identified in the plan of care, and evaluate the patient's progress toward attainment of the outcomes,
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
• Perform professional nursing work of considerable difficulty including the care of patients as outlined by physicians and the objectives and policies of the organization.
• Provide patient and family health education and health assessment.

The operating hours of the clinic are Monday- Friday, 8:00am-9:30pm, Saturday and Sunday, 8:00am-8:00pm.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing from aCCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program.
• Current Ohio Registered Nurse license.
• CPR/BLS certified.
• Knowledge of triage procedures along with clinic, physician office and/or urgent care experience.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids.
• Ability to educate and clearly communicate with patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment.
• Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally.
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
• Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
• Analytical ability and critical thinking to gather and interpret data and develop, recommend, and implement solutions

Pay Range

USD $32.85 - USD $48.55 /Hr.
