University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking an RN for the 6th floor Surgical unit on a rotating schedule (7p-7:30a / 7a-7:30p with every 3rd weekend).
The role involves independent patient care, acting as a clinical resource, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes. Requirements include MD RN licensure, 12+ months nursing experience, current BLS, and unit-specific certifications (PALS/ACLS/NRP).

The 6th floor is a Surgical unit specializing in the care of the patients before and after surgical procedures. Also supports medical overflow. Ratio: 4:1 - 5:1.

The 6th floor Team includes RNs, student nurses, PCTs and Exercise Technicians. We work closely with our rehab partners and have a dedicated therapy gym on the unit. Each service line has dedicated advanced practice providers as part of the surgical team to support enhanced recovery and complex patient needs.

Pay Range: $37.00 - $54.18
Other Compensation (if applicable): Shift Differential
