Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for an Acute Care pathway. You will provide high quality, evidence-based nursing care to medically complex adult patients and collaborate with physicians, APPs, pharmacists, therapists, and fellow RNs in a dynamic interdisciplinary environment.

You will practice at the top of your license in adult and procedural Acute Care settings, contributing to governance and quality improvement within a Magnet-recognized academic medical

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing must be earned within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, evidence-based nursing care to medically complex adult patients.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.

Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
