Job summary
Pyramid Healthcare – Charlotte ACTT is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high‑intensity behavioral health nursing services in community settings.
As part of the ACTT team, you will coordinate client care, monitor medications, educate patients and families, and support recovery for individuals with severe mental illness. This role offers a weekday schedule with field-based responsibilities and a strong multidisciplinary environment.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking.
- Behavioral health or community nursing experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate client care with physicians and treatment team.
- Monitor medication compliance and administer IM injections.
- Manage medication inventory, refills, and nursing supplies.
- Record vital signs and assist during appointments.
- Perform AIMS assessments at admission and periodically.
- Provide medication education to clients, families, and staff.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and resources.
- Deliver nursing services in community settings across Charlotte.
- Participate in rotating crisis on-call coverage and after-hours assessments.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Pyramid Healthcare’s Charlotte Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) is seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-intensity behavioral health nursing services directly within the community.
This position is ideal for nurses looking to step away from traditional bedside settings and into a rewarding, field-based role where they can build meaningful relationships, promote recovery, and make a lasting impact in the lives of individuals living with severe mental illness.
Our ACTT program operates as a “hospital without walls,” delivering comprehensive, community-based mental health services to individuals who need intensive support and may otherwise struggle to access care.

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel locally throughout the community
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
- Behavioral health, psychiatric, or community nursing experience preferred, but not required
