Job summary

Women’s Care seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care across the patient visit continuum, including triage, medication administration, and charting in EMR. You will support physicians during exams and tests and ensure accurate patient records and recall management.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, at least one year of clinic experience (OBGYN preferred), and proficiency with EMR systems such as eCW. This on-site role offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of one year nursing experience in a clinic environment, OBGYN strongly preferred.
  • Valid Florida RN license and BLS/CPR certification.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment with deadlines.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records system (eCW).
  • Effective communication with coworkers, providers, and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Collects blood and specimens, logs and prepares for testing.

With 100+ locations and over 400 OB/GYNs and specialists across the country, Women’s Care provides comprehensive patient care in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, gynecologic pathology, breast surgery, genetic counseling, maternal fetal medicine, laboratory services, and fertility.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care for patients following established standards and practices. They prepare patients during office visits and assist patients and family members before, during and after a doctor’s visit.

  • Performs general nursing care to patients (including phone and in-person triage), administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Assists with the preparation of equipment and aids physician during treatment, examinations, and testing of patients.
  • Records patients' medical history, vital statistics and additional information such as test results in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Collects blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, logs the specimens, and prepares them for testing.
  • Administers injections and prescribed medications as directed by the physician.
  • Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to the physician.
  • Greets patients and prepares them for examination, screens patients for appropriate information and instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
  • Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patients and family members regarding medications, test results and treatment instructions.
  • Assists with referrals and medication refills.
  • Maintains patient recall lists.
  • Formulates and updates patient care plans, and orders, prepares, and inspects patient charts, records test and examination results in the patient chart.
  • Prepares examination rooms, including restocking of supplies in treatment areas.
  • Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities.
  • Represents division in a professional manner. Treats all patients, customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner.
  • Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values.
  • Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
