Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking an Registered Nurse for 6 West Med Surg in Warren. This full-time role: 36 hours per week, schedule 3-12 hour midnights from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with every other weekend and holiday.

You will provide direct nursing care, implement and monitor care plans, coordinate discharge planning, and act as primary coordinator among disciplines. Michigan RN license and BLS/ACLS requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Michigan RN license or be eligible for licensure.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS within 12 months; Pre/Post OR or Cath Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per policies and protocols of the organization.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Registered Nurse - 6 West Med Surg - Warren

Qualifications - External

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
• Pre/Post OR, or Cath Lab experience preferred. Must have BLS. ACLS with in 1 year of hire.
