Job summary

Aperion Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents on the day shift. The RN will supervise nursing assistants, ensure quality care, and maintain compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities include planning daily activities, administering meds, documenting, and coordinating with physicians. The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, is CPR/First Aid certified, and has strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • RN with a current, unencumbered state license.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and guidelines for care facilities.
  • Long Term Care experience preferred.
  • Willing to take additional training as required by states.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all functions under your active license as it pertains to assigned duties.
  • Know the residents you serve and provide care per care plans and physician orders.
  • Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
  • Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel and other departments.
  • Create and maintain a warm, personal, calm environment; give/receive nursing reports; rounds with physicians as needed.
  • Assist in activities of daily living, meals, and social engagement.
  • Communicate with clinical leadership when resident needs change.
  • Provide care for residents with dementia.
  • Be willing to take on other duties within scope of knowledge and experience.

Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises nursing assistants to ensure high-quality care in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Key responsibilities include planning and overseeing daily nursing activities, administering medications, completing required documentation, and maintaining patient confidentiality. The RN also performs professional nursing services such as catheterization, wound care, and IV care, while fostering a warm and collaborative environment.   • Know how to approach and care for residents with dementia.
  • Be willing to take on other duties and assignments within the scope of your knowledge and experience.

Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current unencumbered state license.
