Job summary

River Bridge Specialty Hospital in Louisiana is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise nursing care and coordinate patient treatment from admission through discharge.

The RN will educate patients, assess needs, plan, implement, and evaluate care, and document actions. A current state license is required; ICU/CCU and long-term acute care experience are preferred. Strong communication in English and basic Microsoft Office skills are recommended.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current state nursing license and maintain renewal.
• Long term acute care experience preferred.
• Critical care experience recommended.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise planning for and provision of nursing care.
• Direct and evaluate care provided by licensed nurses and personnel.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Registered Nurse (RN) performs those activities for which the RN has been prepared through education and training. The RN provides nursing supervision in the planning for and provision of nursing care to patients, and directs and evaluates care given by other licensed nurses and personnel. The RN provides education, assesses needs, plans for, implements, evaluates and documents care being provided by nursing staff to each patient. The RN is responsible both for nursing care directly provided by that nurse and the care provided by others under her/his supervision

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must hold a current state license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the standards of the State Board of Nursing;
2. Long term acute care experience is preferred;
3. Critical Care experience is recommended
4. Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communication skills.
5. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.

CPR Certification, ACLS Certification recommended, Specialty Certification recognized
