Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in Sistersville, WV is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to provide compassionate patient care in a long-term care setting. You will perform nursing assessments, develop care plans with the care team, and administer medications as ordered.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an approved nursing program, licensed as an RN in West Virginia, and CPR certified. You will supervise staff, communicate care needs across shifts, and contribute to quality outcomes for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the nursing team, other disciplines, patients, and families to develop effective plans of care.
• Establish realistic, measurable short- and long-term patient goals with interventions to minimize rehospitalizations and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Delegate patient care responsibilities to staff and supervise them to ensure tasks are implemented.
• Communicate patient information with assigned staff and between shifts.

Responsibilities

You will provide care for a variety of patients/residents with an array of complex diagnoses leading to enhanced knowledge and skills in many different areas.
