Job summary

Genesis Healthcare in Rio Rancho, NM is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time, with flexible scheduling options across FT, PT, and PRN. You will provide direct patient care, collaborate with the care team, and support families in a compassionate manner.

You will perform nursing assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, delegate tasks, and communicate with patients and families to improve outcomes. This role emphasizes high-quality care and teamwork in a supportive facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing (RN).
• CPR Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the nursing team, other disciplines, patients, and families to develop effective plans of care.
• Establish realistic, measurable short‑ and long‑term patient goals with interventions to minimize rehospitalizations and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Delegate patient care responsibilities to staff and supervise them to ensure tasks are implemented.
• Communicate patient information with assigned staff and between shifts.

Responsibilities

You will provide care for a variety of patients/residents with an array of complex diagnoses leading to enhanced knowledge and skills in many different areas.
