Job summary

Monarch Healthcare Management in Richfield, MN seeks a Registered Nurse to oversee resident care and coordinate day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with Minnesota BON standards and the Residents’ Bill of Rights. The RN will assess health status, create and monitor care plans, and supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes.

You will use data to drive improvements, maintain medical records, and ensure compliance with QA/QI programs.

Qualifications

• Completed MN BON-approved professional nursing education program.
• An ADN or equivalent foreign degree.
• Active Minnesota RN license.
• Current CPR and emergency care certification.
• CGFNS or NCLEX eligibility or full MN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs; develop and implement nursing care plans; maintain medical records.
• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
• Ensure safety, identify and correct problems, and integrate evidence-based practice into nursing care.

RN- Registered Nurse

Description

The RN manages and supervises resident care ensuring the highest quality of care is received in accordance with the Minnesota BON standards, is guided by the Residents’ Bill of Rights and abides by the facility Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Through the collection and analysis of data, the RN is accountable for performing a comprehensive assessment to establish the baseline health status of residents as well as to create a detailed Plan of Care that includes individual needs and preferences. RNs oversee practical nurses, CNAs and nursing personnel through assessment of their knowledge, skill and capabilities; clarifying expectations and addressing behaviors to ensure the safety of residents and to attain the ultimate goal of achieving and maintaining the highest practicable physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident. Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. Be accountable for safety, identify and correct problems, and integrate evidence, and best practice into nursing care. Use data and evidence to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

• Completion of a professional nursing education program approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing

• Associate’s degree in Nursing or equivalent foreign degree

• Current Minnesota Registration as a Registered Nurse

• Current Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and emergency care

• Also requires CGFNS certificate (or equivalent credentialing organization), or full unrestricted license to practice professional nursing in Minnesota, or passage of the NCELX-RN exam.

Preferred

• Experience in skilled nursing and/or assisted living facilities
