Job summary

United Energy Workers Healthcare in Alabama is seeking registered nurses to join as 1099 independent contractors, delivering compassionate in-home care to energy workers and their families.

You will perform assessments, educate, assist with ADLs, administer treatments, coordinate with case managers, document in EMR, and provide emotional support, all while maintaining flexibility and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Willingness to travel to patients' homes.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to pass state & federal background checks.
• Malpractice insurance is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills with empathy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments in the home.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) with dignity and respect.
• Coordinate scheduling with patients according to plan of care.
• Monitor patient symptoms and promptly report changes to the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate with Case Managers and physicians to ensure unified care.
• Maintain accurate patient logs in the EMR system.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.

Qualifications

• A valid and active RN License in the state of practice.
• A willingness to travel, bringing care directly to patients' homes.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLSCertification.
• Ability to pass a state & federal background check, ensuring trust and safety.
• Malpractice Insurance is required.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, coupled with a warm, empathetic approach.

Pay Range

USD $30.00 - USD $38.00 /Hr.
