Job summary

Signature HealthCARE in Norfolk is seeking registered nurses to provide direct patient care in a 169-bed facility offering short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. You will supervise aides, manage medications, and contribute to care planning in a team-focused environment.

We offer a compelling benefits package, sign-on bonuses up to $7,500 for day/night shifts and $10,000 for evenings, plus shift differentials and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum one (1) year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience, preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role, preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants and medication aides during the assigned shift in accordance with facility policies and regulations, as applicable.
• Monitor and observe residents’ physical and emotional status; notify the attending physician and responsible party of any change in condition.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized resident care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation per facility policy and procedure.
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges according to established procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, staff education, and regulatory surveys as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or designee.

$7500 sign on bonus for day and night shift
