Job summary

AHRC New York City is seeking a Per-Diem Registered Nurse (RN) for its Home Care division. The RN reports to the Director of Nursing and the Associate Vice President of In‑Home Programs. The role will help meet training needs for the licensed home care agency; supervise HHAs; assist in evaluating staff screenings; cover HHA incidents; and advise on OSHA and medical issues within the department.

Schedule: 9 am–5 pm, 21 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday). Pay Rate: $50‑$55 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must hold NY RN license.
• Experience with IDD population preferred.
• Experience as HHA preferred.
• Experience with staff training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Home Care Assessments for new and ongoing cases.
• Develop plans of care and coordinate with physicians for approvals.
• Supervise HHA and PCA staff in the field.
• Provide pre-service training for HHAs.
• Provide in-service training for HHAs.
• Participate in Quality Improvement meetings and Board Meetings.
• Monitor health assessments and medicals of HHAs (drug screens, doctors' notes, hepatitis B vaccinations).
• Conduct clinical competency/skills assessments of HHAs.
