Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Hospital of Central CT in New Britain is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality patient care in a 32-bed inpatient behavioral health unit. The RN will provide nursing care under supervision, develop care plans using the nursing process and address the holistic needs of patients and families.

Connecticut RN license is required; BSN is preferred. New graduates may work under supervision per state guidelines.

• Experience in applicable specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

Our multi-disciplinary team is comprised of Psychiatrists, Registered Nurses, Professional Counselors, Social Workers and Support Staff who help to support the needs of the greater New Britain community by offering services in English, Spanish and Polish. Our staff works in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams in a patient centered care model in a richly diverse work space.

Job Summary

Under the direction and general supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff. The Registered Nurse (RN) who through knowledge and ability utilizes the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family. Incorporates the needs and behaviors of patient's age group in planning and providing care.
