You will handle clinical duties, administer medications, facilitate admissions/discharges, and collaborate with the DON and consulting staff while maintaining timely nursing reports and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Kansas and graduation from an accredited RN program.
• Strong leadership abilities and collaboration with professional and nonprofessional staff.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Complete RN record-keeping forms and charts during admission, discharge, transfer, and other events; file or forward to relevant departments.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge, including transportation arrangements.
• Administer professional nursing procedures per facility policies.
• Collaborate with consultants and DON on recommended changes.
• Investigate complaints and provide reports to the DON.
• Exchange nursing reports at shift changes.
• Perform daily resident checks to ensure treatments are administered correctly and monitor well-being.
• Keep the DON informed about resident and staff status.

Position Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team by overseeing staff assignments and providing comprehensive supervision of resident care. Your responsibilities encompass ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care by adhering to established policies and procedures, as well as following the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON).

Qualifications

• Educational Background: A graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a recognized Registered Nurse (RN) program with a current licensure in the state of Kansas.
• Leadership Skills: Possess strong leadership abilities and a willingness to collaborate with both professional and nonprofessional personnel.
• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

General Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical

• Complete all required Registered Nurse (RN) record-keeping forms and charts during a resident's admission, discharge, transfer, and other important events. Ensure that these records are appropriately filed in the resident's chart and/or forwarded to the relevant department.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Facilitate the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, including making necessary arrangements for transportation and packing.
• Administer professional services, including but not limited to catheterization, tube feeding, suction, wound care, specimen collection, and other medical procedures as outlined by the facility's policies and procedures.

Supervision

• Collaborate with the facility's consultants as required and implement recommended changes under the guidance of the Director of Nursing (DON).
• Investigate and address complaints and grievances, providing necessary oral and written reports to the DON.
• Exchange nursing reports at the beginning and end of your shift duty hours.
• Conduct daily checks on all residents to ensure that prescribed treatments are administered correctly by nursing personnel/assistants and to assess their physical and emotional well-being.
• Keep the DON informed about the status of residents, staff, and related matters.
