Job summary

Westview Care Center is seeking a staff nurse to join a friendly, caring team. You will oversee clinical staff on your unit, guide and educate team members, and ensure high standards of care and infection prevention practices are maintained. A valid IA RN license and SNF experience are preferred.

The role offers 1st shift, part-time and PRN opportunities with a weekend package and a traditional schedule on alternating weekends.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered State of Iowa RN license.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee activities of clinical staff on assigned unit.
• Provide guidance and education to staff.
• Ensure infection prevention practices are followed and staffing is adequate.

As a staff nurse you are instrumental in managing operations of your assigned unit. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Westview Care Center by assisting with supervising the activities of all clinical staff on your assigned unit, providing guidance and education to clinical staff, assisting with instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, ensuring established infection prevention practices are maintained and ensuring adequate staffing for our resident’s needs. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an unencumbered State of Iowa (or compact state) Registered Nurse (R.N.) license; experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable.
