Job summary

Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services is a free-standing psychiatric hospital serving adolescents and adults from the Birmingham community, with inpatient, residential, and group home settings. We are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) with Alabama licensure; schedule includes 3-8's plus 2, 12's every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Alabama or eligibility to obtain
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• One year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred
• New hires must attend 7 days of New Employee Orientation on day shift
• Must pass background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient psychiatric nursing care to adolescent and adult patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Monitor patient condition, administer medications, and document progress

Qualifications

Job Requirements: AL RN License (or temporary- eligble to obtain) Excellent mentorship and orientation available!

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current status as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama.
• One (1) year of experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
• LPN must have credentials to direct physical management of the patient and have current CPR certification.
• New hires are required to attend 7-days of New Employee Orientation on day shift, normally 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday + following Mon-Wed.
• Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check) and drug screen.
