Job summary

Requirements

Education & Experience Requirements

• A current, valid Illinois Registered Nurse license is required.
• Experience or education in long-term care, acute care, or geriatric nursing is preferred.
• Supervisory experience? Even better!
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and comfortably with residents, families, and coworkers.
• No disqualifying criminal offenses (per regulatory guidelines).
• Ability to read and interpret journals, procedures, regulations, and other professional materials.
• Ability to write reports, nursing notes, and procedures with clarity.
• Ability to confidently communicate with department heads, physicians, families, residents, and the general public.

Continuing Education

• Attend in-services and educational programs.
• Keep up with CE needed for certification and licensure.
• Participate in seminars and stay up to date with evolving best practices.
• Complete Silver Chair in-services on time—your future self will thank you.
