Job summary

CoxHealth in Springfield, Missouri, is looking for a Registered Nurse to manage the care of patients undergoing medical conditions or surgical procedures. The RN will assess patient condition, administer medications, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide education to patients and families.

Education: graduate of accredited nursing program; MO RN license active; BLS within 90 days of hire; BSN preferred. Shift: Night, 36 weekly hours, 6:30 pm–7:00 am; benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
• MO RN license active in the state of Missouri.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of the patients experiencing medical conditions or surgical procedures. The nurse must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide patients and families with support and education. The Registered Nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience

• Preferred: Previous nursing experience
