Job summary

HCA Florida Aventura Hospital seeks a RN PSY NIGHTS to influence patient care through collaborative relationships with managers and nursing initiatives. You will assess patients at admission and each shift, document care, and respond quickly to requests while coordinating a holistic treatment plan for recovery.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless continuation of care and connect patients with ongoing community resources.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Fingerprint check completed as part of hiring process.
• RN license with active status.
• Associate Degree in Nursing completed.
• No travel required for this role.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in Psychiatry.

• Performs procedures and documents care in the medical record promptly.
• Responds to patient requests and anticipates needs to deliver exceptional care.

You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

What you will do in this role:

• Assesses patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Manages the quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.
• Manages the continuation of care by serving as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems who coordinate ongoing care needs for specialized patient groups.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Other-Fingerprint Required
• (RN) Registered Nurse
