Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to maintain safe clinical practice and ensure effective handoffs across care teams. You will participate in peer reviews, communicate professionally with patients and colleagues, and support patient flow through efficient admission, discharge, and transfer processes.

The role requires an RN license (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS) and 1+ years of nursing experience, with EPIC charting proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN)
• 1+ years of recent and relevant nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required

Job Description:

• Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow, promoting timely patient placement by following hospital policy for admission, discharge, and transfer.
• Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.
• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives.
• Conducts initial patient assessments within expected timeframes, initiate consults as indicated, and identify patient/family teaching and discharge planning needs. Other duties as assigned.
